A Cave Of My Own (Poetry)

I’d love a small cave
big enough for one
a stream running by
and facing the sun
a wide view of sky

Estate agents don’t
offer homes like this
as if they can’t see
potential exists
in such property

It’s basic of course
a true starter home
not fancy at all
in natural stone
the price nominal

A garden of sorts
some rough piece of land
where all things can grow
what plants are to hand
and viable so

I can live green as
Nature intended
the least damage done
the sooner it’s mended
think Eden — no gun
