A Cherub Reflects (Poetry)

Not as expected
some doubts detected
virgin inspected
reasons rejected
chasteness perfected

The night sky glowing
trumpets were blowing
praises ongoing
to-ing and fro-ing
Heaven all-knowing

Entire host winging
jubilant singing
holy bells ringing
three wise men bringing
gifts for the new king

Each joyful nation
in God’s creation
one congregation
love’s radiation
pure celebration

That star reflected
the spot selected
players elected
few then suspected
faith’s fresh perspective
