An Absence Of Resolve (Poetry)
29th November 2015
I’m lacking resolution, for whatever I decide
I argue my way round again or change my mind. I’ve tried
to stick to a determined course, be staunchly resolute
but every time the effort fails in dwindling pursuit.
Perhaps it’s down to lethargy or apathy, or both,
it’s possibly an allergy or maybe simply sloth,
but whenever the affliction bites its symptoms can’t be bluffed —
acute attacks debilitate and I simply can’t be stuffed.
