Apathy (Poetry)
04th September 2016
I’ve never had today before
the minutes sleep newborn
and careless of each thought or fear
they pass away unmourned
unused without a protest heard
unpitied and unmarked
they reabsorb their wasted selves
slide back into the dark.
Cold as fish they slip away
avoiding life’s dull hook
sink down in apathy’s black stream
without a second look.
the minutes sleep newborn
and careless of each thought or fear
they pass away unmourned
unused without a protest heard
unpitied and unmarked
they reabsorb their wasted selves
slide back into the dark.
Cold as fish they slip away
avoiding life’s dull hook
sink down in apathy’s black stream
without a second look.
