As Far As It Goes (Poetry)

Nothing wrong with it
much better than some
above average
and a good effort
all things considered

Uneven at times
loses direction
caught wandering off —
pain’s journal entries
scatterlogical

But entertaining
in their wide range of
experiences
never thrown for long —
straight back on the horse

Just the odd passage
of meditation
checking the map to
to see how far we’ve come
the past catching up ...

A sort of memoir
for those interested
in a stranger’s life
barely edited
as far as it goes
