There is poetry in food —
a lyric that sings to the palate —
lulls the taste buds with a melody that clings —
aches to be remembered.

That first bite —
the one that sends a tingle round the tongue
is like a perfect rhyme that falls
right every time.

The best recipes are mixed with love —
each ingredient hand-picked
words and spices weigh their similarities —
for they hold magic in them.

The creation of a special dish
as romantic as a sonnet —
each fed by candlelight...
Oh, how they linger on the lips!
