Dreams Of Camelot (Poetry)

07th September 2025
How its towers gleam
above morning’s haze
it seems I have known
this view all my days
stored in memory

A white winding road
shining sun-flecked stone
horses kicking dust
one rider alone
stands out regally

from his entourage
gold bounces the light
a halo surrounds
half-dazzles the sight
flags wave merrily

Such bright visions glow
warm the aching heart
since the world’s grown dull
and long shadows start
imperceptibly

to chill the blood ... then
dream of Camelot
the legend achieves
what real life cannot —
perfect harmony
