Einstein's Birthday (Poetry)

You are not here to celebrate, of course,
but we believe there is no loss, only change.
Therefore it follows that you must be somewhere -
a spirit singing in the rafters,
motes dancing in a ray of light -
a part of you aware
and sensing we remember,
acknowledging those theories were right.

So, Happy Birthday, Albert -
may all your smart atomic particles
have fun tonight.
