Faraway and far
shimmers the white star
constant through the dark
its long guiding arc
a sign to enthrall

Faraway and far
the siren-sweet call
celestial songs
like tides rise and fall
breeze strums a soft harp

Faraway and far
past desert and plain
the message repeats
again and again
hope gathers in throngs

Faraway and far
across time and space
faith filters on through
to reach every place
where peaceful hearts beat

Faraway and far
the angels look down
spread wide their glad news
on snow-feathered ground
while old bells ring true
