Fruit Punch (Poetry)

Mr Kumquat is throwing a party
Walter Melon is having a ball
Miss Peach blushes temptingly tarty
Mrs Fig’s shed her cares — one and all.

Ripe Banana has had a sweet skinful
Sister Plum has been pickled since lunch
Mistress Apple’s appeal’s almost sinful —
she’s se-juiced every fruit in the punch.
