Going Extinct (Poetry)
17th October 2021
I’m going extinct
the last of my line
out of my body
and lost in my time
There’s nothing of beauty
that might keep me here
the struggle seems pointless
the price is too dear
Love cannot save me
and hope has no will
the rage that once drove me
grows feeble and still
I’m less than a feather
the floating me thinks
that nothing much matters
I’m almost extinct
the last of my line
out of my body
and lost in my time
There’s nothing of beauty
that might keep me here
the struggle seems pointless
the price is too dear
Love cannot save me
and hope has no will
the rage that once drove me
grows feeble and still
I’m less than a feather
the floating me thinks
that nothing much matters
I’m almost extinct
