The phone and I so silent sit
Both time and patience wearing thin
As I recall your parting words
And then the nagging doubts begin.
Why make a promise then default —
A momentary lapse, and yet
When you’re away I think of you:
Am I so easy to forget?
The phone and I so silent sit
Both time and patience wearing thin
As I recall your parting words
And then the nagging doubts begin.
Why make a promise then default —
A momentary lapse, and yet
When you’re away I think of you:
Am I so easy to forget?
