When streams of sorrow ink my barren pen
And blot the page with open wounds of anguish,
It seems that every poet’s fate is set
To suffer inspiration’s fit of languish.
Thus every line reveals a secret truth:
Life’s tragedies might tear all dreams apart
But deep within the true romantic knows
The quest for Love was worth a broken heart.
