One Moment In Time (Poetry)

One moment in time
long ago, far away
something changed in the world
that we sing of today

All the planets aligned
if the history’s right
and the sky was ablaze
that spectacular night

Just the birth of a child
in a cold cattle-shed
the angels attending
his comfort-free bed

But the universe knew
and the earth it stood still
while the moment was blessed
full of hope and goodwill

With the baby’s first cry
came a gift from above
and changed the whole world
with something called love
