One Thing At A Time (Poetry)

09th August 2026
All of it crowds in
chaotic ideas
superimposed like
snapshot negatives
of places once seen

If cameras can’t lie
then these strange pictures
stilled for a second
framed in the darkness
are off-cuts of life

Almost remembered
filed in some index
themed in their jungle
of sepia dreams
mapped out of sequence

All shot in private
murdering meaning
numbing the senses
throwing out reason
there’s no one can hear

Silence unwinding
mind’s constant movie
flickers forever
scenes overwritten
retake and ad-lib
