Planning The Magic (Poetry)

Save me a ride on Santa’s sleigh
a seat around the table
a ticket for the Christmas play
a peep inside the stable

Order some snow — like old Yuletide
bright berries on the holly
send festive greetings far and wide
with hopes the season’s jolly

Book early to avoid the rush
beginning late September
throughout the autumn’s dreaming hush
plan magical December

Observe tradition — deck the hall
and learn by heart each hymn
prepared should clouds of feathers fall
