Rocking With Lemmy (Poetry)
01st January 2016
Those angels will be having
a high old time tonight —
they’ll be rocking and rolling in the aisles.
Lemmy’s motor’s tuned and running
so the music’s out of sight
while the grateful dead are queueing up for miles.
It’s the biggest venue ever
with a stage lit by the stars
and a host of speakers loud as they can go.
Strung right across the universe
a twanging of guitars
celebrate the spirit of the show.
The atmosphere’s electric
and Lemmy’s voice defies —
belting lyrics out for all he’s worth.
The fans know he’s not finished —
an old rocker never dies —
the gig goes on ...
His comet passes Earth.
a high old time tonight —
they’ll be rocking and rolling in the aisles.
Lemmy’s motor’s tuned and running
so the music’s out of sight
while the grateful dead are queueing up for miles.
It’s the biggest venue ever
with a stage lit by the stars
and a host of speakers loud as they can go.
Strung right across the universe
a twanging of guitars
celebrate the spirit of the show.
The atmosphere’s electric
and Lemmy’s voice defies —
belting lyrics out for all he’s worth.
The fans know he’s not finished —
an old rocker never dies —
the gig goes on ...
His comet passes Earth.
