Snow Diaries (Poetry)

02nd October 2010
White days will take their time to fill these diary pages —
the volume slim, the margin’s ruling wide
and what was almost written in the night melting
to a whipped vanilla dream
of beauty that transformed and bounced the light
a million unrecorded ways.

Crisp and clean — untrodden paths of thought
wind all the way through memory’s far wood
where word-trees grow — imagining the birds
stringing out intentions on pale sky —
bright feathers spiral down — the flight of fancy lasts
a whole winter of forevers.
