The Immortals (Poetry)
23rd March 2014
I am the wind that sways the tree
I am the sun that warms the wood
I am the tide that tugs the sea
I am the fire that thrills the blood.
You are the calm that comforts pain
You are the voice that soothes all fear
You are the stranger with no name
You are the shade that hovers near
We are the spirits — wise and true
We are the Old Ones — Earth and Sky
We colour the world with green and blue
We are immortal —
Love can’t die.
I am the sun that warms the wood
I am the tide that tugs the sea
I am the fire that thrills the blood.
You are the calm that comforts pain
You are the voice that soothes all fear
You are the stranger with no name
You are the shade that hovers near
We are the spirits — wise and true
We are the Old Ones — Earth and Sky
We colour the world with green and blue
We are immortal —
Love can’t die.
