The Language Of Flowers (Poetry)

27th January 2013
Imagine desert blessed by sudden rain
That falls so softly, nurturing parched earth,
Reviving, bringing back to life again
Those dormant dreams now vibrant with rebirth;
And so my heart swells like a secret bud
Your gentle touch encourages to bloom,
And hope, rekindled, surges, its warm flood
Rising in sweet waves to fill my room,
While thoughts as pure as petals open wide,
Unfurling tender promises of love,
The drought now past, its barrenness defied,
The blossom reaches to the sky above,
Its rich, adoring red against the blue —
A perfect rose that flowers just for you.
