The Less Ugly One (Poetry)

Though I shouldn’t say
I’m not like my sis
who no man would kiss
for she’s hideous
mean and spiteful too

Me — I’m really plain
with the odd stray wart
missing a few teeth
but a kindly sort
underneath my wig

Cinderella’s cute
in her Disney way
but she’s rather vain
dreaming half the day
empty head too big

Her prince appears gay
beautifully dressed
those tights give away
his agenda — still
I guess she’s impressed

She’ll be his princess
and have lots of loot
I wished her no ill
so hope that she will
show some charity
