To Rot & Ruin (Poetry)
06th October 2019
We kept it sweet
we kept it simple
the lake stretched wide
without a ripple
We sailed through Spring
our summer drifted
the chill winds came
the season shifted ...
We ran aground
in mid-November
we shared the blame
if you remember
Both of us blind
to the storm brewing
wood bound to rot
and love to ruin
we kept it simple
the lake stretched wide
without a ripple
We sailed through Spring
our summer drifted
the chill winds came
the season shifted ...
We ran aground
in mid-November
we shared the blame
if you remember
Both of us blind
to the storm brewing
wood bound to rot
and love to ruin
