To The Moon And Back (Poetry)
07th May 2026
These nights I look at you —
stare long and hard
and know there is something
you are saying and I am still missing
There is so much more to you
than meets the eye
so much more than myth
and romance — it’s a struggle
to see through those layers
or believe the simple science
of your spinning ...
it seems crazily unlikely
Yet, I am a simple creature —
born of water — my life governed
by tides of fevered yearning so-aware
that I am drawn to you
Thus, on nights like this when you are full
let me walk upon you in a silvered dream
and know you as a goddess or a fraud —
translate at last your enigmatic beam
stare long and hard
and know there is something
you are saying and I am still missing
There is so much more to you
than meets the eye
so much more than myth
and romance — it’s a struggle
to see through those layers
or believe the simple science
of your spinning ...
it seems crazily unlikely
Yet, I am a simple creature —
born of water — my life governed
by tides of fevered yearning so-aware
that I am drawn to you
Thus, on nights like this when you are full
let me walk upon you in a silvered dream
and know you as a goddess or a fraud —
translate at last your enigmatic beam
