Vision (Poetry)

04th August 2006
In that split second as the camera finds
its focus, a small miracle occurs -
the ordinary sheds its casual skin,
light softens and the edge of reason blurs
suggesting metamorphosis - aligns
an image carved from fantasies within.

She's every vision captured in a frame,
her steady gaze transcending time and space,
she's glowing youth and wisdom without guile
and sadness haunts the shadows in her face,
subtle, as serenity lays claim
to lips that offer up a knowing smile.

Luminous, each molecule transmits
a finer light, sifted through fair skin,
while beauty burns, its purity divine,
and touches, with a bright seraphic wing,
the soul who, in delirium, admits
the mystery of water turned to wine.
