Watch For Signs (Poetry)

There are signs
all around us
dare we look
if we see
and what they mean
what they are saying
mightn’t be a mystery
if we think with our hearts
and let instinct
crack the code

glimpse the arrow
pointing backwards
down that old
abandoned road
there are ways
we have forgotten
covered over
lost to time
but watch for signs
and rediscover

what still endures
between the lines
there are truths
the liars buried
all the answers
darkness sealed
the signs are there
for those who question
everything
will be revealed
