When Feeling Egg-Bound (Poetry)

31st August 2025
Let them tumble out —
all those mad old thoughts
they’re clogging the pipes
better out than in
cracked or otherwise

Strange sort of omelette
more a scrambled mess
bits of shell mixed up
chewy to excess
and hard to disguise

Set the feeling free —
ovoid-shaped or not
be it tasteless yolk
too long left to rot
no tag line surprise

It’s best to evict
avoiding the jam
that gridlocking lump
stuck tight as a clam
as pressures arise

Each symbolic egg
anathema to
all artists who can’t
express the thing through —
fazed by its sheer size
